"Promise Rings"
White gold rings set with an amethyst for one and a diamond for the other.
The settings are in a shape of a thistle flower.
The thistle design will be completed when each ring will stack on a second ring, which will have enamel inlays in the shape of a thistle foliage.

After repairing the hinges, badly damaged enamels were restored with cold enamels, as close to the original colour themes and pigments used by the maker, George Lawrence Connell.
Recreating a pair of silver earrings from a missing earring, Art Nouveau period, originally made in bronze.
This gold ring was submitted to me for repair. The first step was to delicately take out the gemstone before any heat treatment, such as annealing the metal to reshape, soldering the snapped shank together.
Once the ring was put back together, the opal gemstone was reset.
